One of A Kind Faux Netsuke - FISH. This is the 1st in the NETSUKE series I am working on. This tiny hand sculpted figurine is only 2 inches tall and has been inspired by the ancient Japanese art - Netsuke, a miniature ivory carving. New Additions to the ElenaOriginals Website

I am expanding my gallery. There are lots of new Art Pieces will be introduced in the new 2009 year. Here’s what I have decided to add to the main gallery of the website. First of all, if any of you already visited my updated website www.elenaoriginals.com, you will see that I have divided the galleries into different categories.
Now there are 8 categories:
1. Fantasy Dolls (you can find fairies, fantasy characters, etc. here)
2. Costume Dolls (main accent is on the doll dress)
3. AMB - After Midnight Bundles (all kinds of cute little creatures that appear in your closet and home after Midnight)
4. Beautiful Dark (this gallery is inspired by Vampires and Gothic theme)
5. Child’s Fancy (polymer and air dry clay creations, inspired by lots of drawing I created a few years back for the children’s books)
6. Gourd Art (that’s a fun little something you can grow in your garden or buy at the farmer’s market and make beautiful and inspirations art out of!)
7. Art Tiles (miniature collage paintings with original illustrations)
8. Tales In ivory (Japanese Netsuke inspired art)
Lots to check out! Just be patient, some galleries are still being updated, it is a lot of work for one little artist 
I promis you this will be finished pretty soon, because I cannot wait to share lots of my new ideas with you!

A cup of delicious Hazelnut Vanilla Coffee… A wonderful way to start my creative day! I know, I know, my best friend is a raw foodist and she would probably shake her head at this, but I NEED a fresh cup of coffee to jump start my day… pathetic, really, such dependency. Hey, I am talking about only one a day, so it is not that bad, LOL.
So much to do, so much to plan for the new year. I have a good feeling about it, it promises to be very exciting…

I never know when I can get inspired - on the way to work, watching a movie, reading a book or leafing through the magazines. Just looking at the fabrics and beads gives me a sea of ideas, I am not talking about attending exhibitions and art galleries, here’s one, for example…

Isn’t it amazing, another year went by! What a year! I think I am pretty happy with the events that took place in 2008. My Artist life has been pretty busy - shows, new sculpts, paintings, attending multiple events - everything to keep a creative mind busy. Well… I intend to make 2009 even busier, lol.
